Moore, Inc., to find a qualified financial professional to be the next Controller as part of the team that is a leading 3PL company offering Transportation, Warehousing, Distribution and Brokerage Services. They provide a national third-party logistics network to support the various food and beverage providers, and they are passionate about delivering exceptional and timely service to all customers. Responsibilities

  • Oversee the preparation and maintenance of financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP and other relevant accounting standards.
  • Analyze and report on key financial performance indicators, including profitability, cost structure, revenue recognition, and operational efficiency.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, highlighting financial performance, variances, and recommendations.
  • Lead financial forecasting, budgeting, and planning processes to ensure alignment with company objectives.
  • Develop and maintain cost allocation models for transportation, warehousing, and other logistics services.
  • Monitor cash flow, working capital, and liquidity to ensure the financial health of the business.
  • Manage vendor and customer relationships in terms of financial transactions and payments, ensuring timely invoicing and collections.
  • Supervise and mentor accounting and finance staff, ensuring a high level of competence and performance within the team.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant tax laws, financial regulations, and industry standards.
  • Oversee and manage the integration of accounting systems with logistics and inventory management systems (e.g., ERP software).

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA preferred.
  • 5+ years of accounting and finance experience, with at least 4 years in a managerial/supervisory role.
  • Experience in the trucking or transportation industry is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP.
  • Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

Compensation Details

The base salary range targeted for this role is $120,000 - $150,000. This salary range represents the good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. If an applicant possesses experience, education, or other qualifications more than the minimum requirements for this posting, that applicant is encouraged to apply, and a final salary range may then be based on those additional qualifications; compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, years of experience, depth of experience, seniority, merit, education, training, amount of travel, and other relevant business considerations.
