Senior Director of Finance & Administration

Protecting the places you love. Empowering communities. Leading with purpose.

BerryDunn has partnered with our client to find a strategic, mission-driven, and collaborative Senior Director of Finance & Administration to join their leadership team. This role is more than financial oversight — it's about guiding the internal heartbeat of an organization committed to sustainability, equity, and community.  As a key advisor to the President & CEO and Board of Directors, you'll help shape Maine Coast Heritage Trust’s (MCHT) strategic direction, oversee the health and integrity of our financial and administrative systems, and ensure our operations and culture align with our bold vision for the future.

At Maine Coast Heritage Trust (MCHT), we believe in a future where Maine’s iconic coastlines, thriving communities, and natural systems are cared for and celebrated by everyone. As a statewide nonprofit land conservation organization, we protect and steward Maine’s treasured lands and waters — ensuring they remain healthy, accessible, and resilient for generations to come.  We don’t just conserve land — we build lasting impact. Our work supports ecological wellbeing, strengthens local communities, and advances conservation on a state and national level. And we know that inclusive, visionary leadership is essential to this mission.

We believe diverse perspectives strengthen our work and enrich our community. We encourage candidates from all backgrounds, identities, and lived experiences to apply.  This position can sit in any of our 4 Maine locations.

  • Champion inclusive leadership, cultivating a workplace where people from all backgrounds feel valued, supported, and empowered.
  • Foster collaboration across departments and represent organizational values
  • Support special projects and executive initiatives
