Senior Director of Finance & Administration
Protecting the places you love. Empowering communities. Leading with purpose.
BerryDunn has partnered with our client to find a strategic, mission-driven, and collaborative Senior Director of Finance & Administration to join their leadership team. This role is more than financial oversight — it's about guiding the internal heartbeat of an organization committed to sustainability, equity, and community. As a key advisor to the President & CEO and Board of Directors, you'll help shape Maine Coast Heritage Trust’s (MCHT) strategic direction, oversee the health and integrity of our financial and administrative systems, and ensure our operations and culture align with our bold vision for the future.
At Maine Coast Heritage Trust (MCHT), we believe in a future where Maine’s iconic coastlines, thriving communities, and natural systems are cared for and celebrated by everyone. As a statewide nonprofit land conservation organization, we protect and steward Maine’s treasured lands and waters — ensuring they remain healthy, accessible, and resilient for generations to come. We don’t just conserve land — we build lasting impact. Our work supports ecological wellbeing, strengthens local communities, and advances conservation on a state and national level. And we know that inclusive, visionary leadership is essential to this mission.
We believe diverse perspectives strengthen our work and enrich our community. We encourage candidates from all backgrounds, identities, and lived experiences to apply. This position can sit in any of our 4 Maine locations.
You are an experienced financial leader who thrives in mission-driven environments. You bring a deep understanding of strategic finance, operations, and organizational stewardship — and you're passionate about building strong teams and equitable systems.
The base salary range targeted for this role is $150,000-185,000. This salary range represents a good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. If an applicant possesses experience, education, or other qualifications more than the minimum requirements for this posting, that applicant is encouraged to apply, and a final salary range may then be based on those additional qualifications; compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, years of experience, depth of experience, seniority, merit, education, training, amount of travel, and other relevant business considerations.
